Seattle engineered a remarkable fightback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, securing their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a 30-14 deficit in the final period, the Seahawks emerged victorious by a single point at home, notching their fifth consecutive win.

While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on game day, the Seahawks secured their place to the play-offs after a 24-month hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle have taken over their Conference standings with a twelve and three mark, replacing the Los Angeles, who fell to the fifth playoff position with an eleven and four standing.

Signal-caller Darnold had two interceptions but recovered to make two scoring throws, culminating in the tying score to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a 13-7 advantage at the break before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for Seattle.

Rams cornerback Josh Wallace then returned Darnold's first interception for 56 yards, leading to a one-yard score by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the final stanza, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's comeback with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the end zone, and a converted conversion sent the contest into an extra period.

Although Nacua scored for his second TD in OT, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
